Eric Beavers

Eric Beavers
Eric Beavers, Pastor of Creative Arts
Eric is one of those people who made the geographical error of being born outside the borders of the great state of North Carolina, but early on made it his priority to correct that mistake. He attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA before spending 4 years in Minneapolis, MN working both as a Youth Pastor and a Music Pastor. He married the girl of his dreams on September 9, 2006 – and together they have been playing music every opportunity they get. Eric and Lisa now live in Raleigh, NC, where Eric serves as the Minister of Worship and Arts for Hope Cafe and Lisa works as a Patient Coordinator at a local dental office.
Gayle Carter, Administrator
Gayle Carter was born and raised here in Wake County. She graduated with a BA in Accounting from NCSU. Gayle is married to Donald, a Raleigh Fire Captain, and has two children, Brittany and Brooks. She loves ministry work, her family, playing games and enjoys going to the beach.
Heather Benfield, Minister to Youth
Heather brings a lifelong passion for teaching, missions, and worship to the youth community. Volunteering and missionary work are staples of her life. After teaching and leading Christian experiences for adolescents and young adults for six years in Kentucky and western North Carolina, she moved to Raleigh and has spent the last four years working at a local non-profit that supports high schools across the state. At Bellarmine University, she majored in Secondary Education and Biology while minoring in Theology and Chemistry. Heather is a National Board Certified Teacher. These days, if not at the cafe listening to music and enjoying a chai latte, you can find her planning the next fun activity or Biblical encounter for the youth group.
